December 8, 1980: JOHN LENNON is killed.

December 8, 1984: HANOI ROCKS Nicholas "Razzle" Dingley is killed in a car accident with MOTLEY CRUE's Vince Neil at the wheel. Neil was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

December 8, 2004: Darrell "Dimebag" Abbott, guitarist for DAMAGEPLAN, ex-PANTERA, is shot and killed while performing onstage in Columbus, Ohio.
